The Russakov Family

The holiday season is one of the best times of the year! Everything from scented candles, baking holiday treats, and time spent with family is just the best in my opinion. But of all the nice things my favorite is the holiday portraits. The fall is the time of year when families send Christmas and holiday cards to loved ones. Sports season also slows down during this time of year (for families with kiddos and teens). That makes it the perfect time to get a holiday portrait session on the calendar. That’s just what this sweet family from Allen, TX did. We scheduled their session months out to fit in with their boys’ sports schedules.

I could tell the way this family cares about each other. It was so apparent to me from the short time I spent photographing them. These brothers are only two years apart in age. That means they have an automatic/built-in best friend. I am only 18 months older than my brother so I can attest that being close in age is fun and gets better with time.

It was such a treat for me to document these memories for them. Being the senior portrait photographer that I am, I wanted to be sure we allowed time for individual teen portraits. We found such a cool area to take their portraits before moving along to family photos.

Thank you so much, David and Stephanie, for allowing me to play a small part in your family’s legacy. Also, can you believe these fall colors? It was unreal! Such a perfect backdrop for your family portraits. I hope you treasure these images for decades to come. Thank you again!
